CLARKSVILLE, TN (December 16, 2021) – The Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency has approved Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville’s application to build a satellite hospital on Trenton Road near 101st Airborne Parkway. The satellite hospital will complement the services the hospital provides in its Dunlop Lane facility, Tennova ER-Sango and Tennova Medical Group clinics for primary care, cardiology, surgery and other specialties.
“We appreciate the time and careful consideration by the members of the HSDA and are grateful to our local leaders and community members for their support,” said Alex Villa, chief executive officer of Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville. “We understand the area’s diverse healthcare needs and are proud of this opportunity to improve access to care, close to home, for our friends and neighbors.”
Operated under the general hospital license of Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, the satellite hospital will provide acute inpatient medical and surgical services with 12 inpatient beds and a 14-bay emergency department. The hospital expects to begin construction on the facility in the third quarter of 2022 with projected opening in early 2024.
